Victor graduated with a Bsc.Hons in Physical Education & Sports Science from the University of Granada, Spain and went on to start his research activity in 1989, developing 3D photogrammetric technologies for the analysis of movement.

In 1990 he commenced doctoral studies culminating in his thesis in 1995, focused on the development of biomechanical systems applied to sports. His main research line has been oriented towards Sports Biomechanics and Technological Development for Movement Analysis.

In recent years Victor has broadened his research lines into the field of Ergonomics, Performance Analysis-Optimization, Musculoskeletal risk prevention, Health promotion through Physical Activity, Virtual Advisors, Artificial Intelligence applied to Sports, and Exoskeletons.

As a successful researcher Victor has collaborated on an impressive range of projects and attracted significant funding for the HumanLab/iMUDS facility in Granada where much of his analysis is done. As a full professor he is well connected to a wide range of International Research Societies enabling him to remain at the forefront of Biomechanical research.
